Lose addons with Firefox 8 update?

I'm very security conscious but am reluctant to install the lastest Firefox update (8?). I don't want to lose any of the great addons/extensions-plugins I have. Do any of you have information as to being able to keep/reinstall all my addons? I have the Addon Compatibility Reporter but have to first upgrade to check if they're all still there. I've searched Firefox but can't find a definitive answer. Thanks for your ideas. ec

 

It's normal for addons to lag after FF releases. Just wait. Most will be updated.
