Hi lately I've noticed I'll be typing and leave my document and when I come back the cursor is in a different place then I left it.

Also sometimes I'm moving the mouse and all of a sudden it's off the screen and I can't find it. And after moving it around for several seconds it finally reappears somewhere else on the screen.

These have been happening for a couple of weeks now.

The past two times I turned my computer on, I get messages that say:

dwwin.exe "ox5ad71531" reference memory at "0x0000000014" The memory could not be read (also something about adobe not working in a box behind it which disappears when I click OK on the first one)

click OK then once I do, or just x out all the icons on my screen disappear and I have to shut the electricity off and then on and then turn the computer on and then it works fine.

    What should I do?

    Thanks,

    CinderEdna

Hi I just wrote down what it said this last time.

1 box says "DLL Initialization Failed" with one choice, "OK"

2nd box says "End Program- sw
The system cannot end this program because it is waiting for a response from you." with two choices, "end" or "cancel"

No matter what I click, the computer shuts down. After the third try I was able to get online but am now afraid to shut down in case I never get back on again.

it might help if you perform an error check to find and fix any errors in the windows components. to do this open my computer then right click on the c drive, from the pop down men choose properties. in the next menu box click on the tools tab and then you will see error check, click on check now then make sure to check both find and fix errors, click on start.
you will then be prompted that the program needs complete access to the drive and to schedule this for next restart click on yes and restart the computer.this scan will take some time to complete depending on thee size of your hard drive.
try this and see if it helps good luck

Hi, I tried doing that but the mouse is still doing its thing.

I scanned and will post logs---I just got a scan report from my Zone Alarm fire alarm that said my computer has win32.backdoor.bifrost

and I think it said that it's located in C: mgtools
