Losing Battlefield 2 connection

Each time I log into a Battlefield 2 game, I play for about 5 min. at most and then lose connection. Every time...I tried taking down WinXP firewall, even though Battlefield 2 is in the "Exceptions" list when it is up. Any suggestions?

 

I'm not sure, but I think that other people have had that problem. If you cant find any help here a really good resource for BF:2 troubleshooting is the client support forums at Totalbf2.com.

 

Most of the time it can be server side problems. There is a way to tell in either case. Try downloading Ultima OnlineTrace Utility. Essentially it is a Trace Route utility program, but it will also tell you which hops are bad (if any) with any given server.

My brother was having the same problem. After he reinstalled the game a couple of times it stopped. Probably not the answer you're looking for. Good luck.
