    Hi,

I am being disconnected from the Internet on a regular basis, I re-connect the modem and I can get back on-line but it happens again. The amount of time before it disconnects again varies but it doesn't take long. I have ran Spybot, Adaware, TrendMicro PC Scan, ran a Windows XP Update, ran Stinger and CW Shredder. I have removed Malware, Grayware, spyware, trojans, worms you name it I've done it!!!
I have checked my Firewall and everything seems to be in order. I'm pulling my hair out trying to sort this. Im all out of ideas, Im not vastly knowledgable in IT and really could be using the help of an expert?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I haven't, the reason being I have had no joy with them in the past, their support section are not the most helpful.

You using Cable or ADSL Stuart?

Has it been like this since you got internet or changed providers etc or has this become a new problem lately?

IF ADSL... also check with BT that your line is not "dirty" or their are problems at your local exchange?

Dirty refers to a really noisey line, if you lift the reciever on your phone can you hear crackles/hisses and general noise, if so get BT to test your line and also increase the line gain to account for data as for just voice calls the line doesnt need to be free from interfearence noise, data can be fussy on line noise and your connection can be dropped. If the BT support personage says the line gain cannot be adjusted then ask to speak to an actual BT Tech as when my 2nd line was installed just for the net, the engineer adjusted the line gain.

Also unplug all phones appart from your internet connection and test, maybe worth if you have a few phones and DSL filters connected, to swap a DSL filter with the one used for your NET incase that is faulty.

Cable issues sadly I'm not to upto speed on, but check connections to the cable modem.. even unplug and replug in.
