Loss of Network connection

    Hi, can anyone help me? I have two computers on my network (Netopia, camen 3500 series router/gateway). When I am on theweb, and my son turns on/off his computer, my computer internet connection would freeze. I sometimes have to restart my computer in order to get it back. However, if I know he is going to turn it on I unplug him from my router until his desktop comes up and then I plug it back in and we are both up and running no problem..any takers??

    What is the OS (Operating System) of both of your computers???

    Have you tried a firmware upgrade for your router???

    OS on both computers is Win.XP Prof SP2 and I am using the latest version.
