I have a Western Digital 300gb external HDD and ive had it for over a year and all of a sudden none of my files are in there. It is showing that I've got used space still. I just moved my laptop and plugged in the external and all of a sudden no info on the external. Ive tried to download recuva and check, but it cant find them. I'm not sure what happened. Any help?

Go to Computer Management/Disk Management Right Click on drive and select Explore and see if it appear.

Well I did a simple solution and just rebooted my computer and it solved the problem haha. I rebooted the external numerous times and it did nothing, idk why restarting the computer helped it, but it did. Thanks for the tips though!
