Ok, I have comcast connection and I am pinging my ip address.
I am receiving the packets. I have tried just about everything to get online here. It keeps showing the local area connection as being disabled. I am running windows xp sp2
Whenever I try to get on IE, it shows page cannot be displayed.
I have checked the URL setting, which is set to www.google.com
I have tried ipconfig /renew, basically all microsofts little tips on how to correct this,
I have called the local ISP and everything is ok on there end. It is something with my computer.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try?
    Please help,
    Corey

Type NSLOOKUP www.complete-cs.com at the command prompt. What do you get?

cat5e's suggestion is a good one.....but if you can't figure out if it is blocking IE....just tun it off for a few minutes until your testing is done. I do not suggest running without firewall protection for very long.
