Lost my Lightning tab in Thunderbird

I have had Thunderbird 3.0.3 for a couple of weeks. Today, I opened it and the Lightning tab is missing and I can't get to my calendar. Any ideas? Thanks.

 

The list of reported issues with v3 is getting longer by the day. I would revert to v2.

 

Wow. Would I just download v2 and it would find all my emails and my Lighting calendar entries from v3?

 

Your messages and calendar are in your stored profile. As long as that hasn't been damaged then I think you should just be able to point v2 at it. Take a backup copy of your profile first before uninstalling v3.

 

I have misplaced my notes on how to find my Thunderbird profile and how to back it up. Can you give me easy-to-follow instructions?

 

As the user chooses where to put their profile there is no 'standard' answer to this. However if you exit TB and from the Run box type

thunderbird.exe -P

and click Create Profile the wizard will pop up, and as well as letting you choose a folder it will also give you the default location for your machine. I would be reasonably certain in your case that that is where it is located.
