Lost My Pictrues and contents

Hi,

My wife started complaining that her pictures wouldn't come up when her screensaver came on. When I checked it out I didn't see a My Pictures folder at all - but it's back now, I guess XP recreated it. BTW pc is running XP sp3 running FAT32.

I looked around and then did a search for .jpg on her hard disk. The actual pictures weren't found, but I located thumbnails of most of them. I then tried a free undelete tool and got some back, copying them onto an external HD.

I'm not sure what step to take next, and I don't want to do anything that might disturb the chances of recovering them, so PLEASE any help is appreciated!
