Kids got on my computer over the holiday & left me with major spyware issues. I always run AVG anti virus, adaware & spybot but this time they did not fix the problems. I printed out your instructions & followed them exactly with the exception of running AVG again AFTER doing steps 1 b in your "Read me first Before Asking for Support" thread. I did this because housecall found 8 infected files that were "uncleanable". Also my IE home page was fine UNTIL I went into safe mode & then when I went to get the links for Trend's on line Virus scan I got that dreaded about:blank. So I ran everything including about:buster & HSRemover (I did have to reboot into normal mode in order to update about:buster) & once updated I rebooted back into safe mode.
I completed everything through step 4.
When I booted back into normal mode at the end of step 4 I was NO longer able to access the internet or my other computers (I use peer to peer networking).
When I went to setup/change my networking connection I am UNable to complete it because each time I get the following error "Spooler Subsystem App has encountered a problem & needs to close".
BTW I can print fine from the printer that is connected to this computer.
    Please help.....I'm lost

Ok I found the issue with not being able to access the internet through my hijack this log. Apparently o10 -Broken Internet Access because of LSP provider c:\windows\system32\dolsp.dll was missing. HiJack this was UNable to fix it but did provide a link for the fix.
I still see some things that don't look right in my hijack this (especailly some "trusted sites") but I'm kinda afraid to try the fix it without knowing for sure.

That O10 entry is due to malware. We use LSP-fix to remove problems like this.

    Download LSP - Fix

    Now run LSP-Fix.

Check the Box labeled "I know what I'm doing" and then click on the dolsp.dll file (in the “Keep” section) to select it.

Then, Select the >> button to move dolsp.dll into the Remove section.

Now, click the Finish Button. When the Repair Summary box appears, click OK.

    Now follow the steps below.

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).
