Lost password for bios and/or cmos, HELP!

Need to get into my bios and/or cmos, you know the thingy that goes beep beep when you power up. I put a password in a year or so ago, but have since misplaced it, and have forgotten it. Need to get in there so that I can enable my DMA. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

 

Give some specs, will help to give more detailed instructions.

For most desktops, I think this will do the trick.
unplug pc, open case, on mobo remove battery (will be small, like watch battery)mometarily, may also have a jumper to remove momentarily, this will reset mobo/cmos and will return to default mobo settings (no password)

 

I've never seen a system where ASUS's instructions didn't work.

 

man, i read that you forgot your bios password, and i though, dang. but luckily for you ASUS was around. ive heard that taking the battery out, and letting it drain could take like hours. how long does it take?

 

Dont forget "ALL BIOS settings will return to default" so once back in bios check all settings adj if necessary.
