   A lady died suddenly and left my friend with a new windows 7 laptop without the login password for windows. What if any is the best way to recover the password?

   Instead of recovering the password, restore the laptop to factory condition (either using recovery disks or the recovery partition) and have the new owner put his information in instead of the deceased laptop's owner.

   Thanks for advice but I didn't want to lose Office and a few other programs. I erased the3 password with this free program and I am up and running.
   
   Offline NT Password & Registry Editor, Bootdisk / CD
   
   Pretty easy to use.
