Have a PC with Intel Pentium4,3.2 GHz processor, 1 GB DDR333 memory, 200 GB IDE Hard Drive, running Windows XP Pro with SP2. Downloaded Real Player update, and lost all the sound from the PC. Went through all the fixes outlined in Windows troubleshooter, none of them corrected the problem.
Removed Real Player from the PC with the Add/remove Programs in the Control Panel, still no sound. also tried
recommendation from a post on here, to change the settings in the Registry, under VOICE/Audio Config/Full Duplex to 3, Half Duplex to 3, MicDetected to 2, did not solve problem. changed all back to 0 as they were.
At a loss as to what to try next. Would appreciate any suggestions/ cures for this problem that any of you may recommend.
    Thanks in advance.

    Try reinstalling audio drivers.
