    Hi Guys,
First time post; I have been doing some malware clean-up using the expertise from this site. Thank you some much for the direction and knowledge, the results have been stupendous.
Now I think I tweaked jkust a bit too far. Today--not yesterday I have lost the ability to switch users. I have four users on my home computer. I have run a registry cleaner(EZCleaner) earlier today and now I cannot "switch Users" I have to restart the computer to change users..
I am running upgraded windows XP professional.
    Any insight would be grateful

    Thanks in advance

Have you disabled any of XP's "services"?

Go to Start > Run and type in: services.msc
Scroll down to Terminal Services and make sure it is Started.

    Thanks Matacumbie,
You were right on target. I used the "Tweakhound's Super XP Tweaking Guide"
to get my performance up to max. I guess I have learned to judge performance with safety. It is a wealth of info you get here that make novices like I capable of making decisions to "tweak" our machines.
    Thanks You for your help;)

    same issue here.
A question if I may: i invoked the services list per your instruction: it showed Terminal Services as 'running' but set for Manual start. I did not start it so wondering how it got itself running???? At any rate, I changed that option to "Automatic". I'm assuming this is a registry switch and so will not be activated until the next reboot.... is that correct? cause at the moment, I still have no "switch user" function.

There could be another reason that your Switch User is not working. Go ahead and restart, see if it works.
