Low fps in Counter-strike 1.6

sorry for my english.
I have fps 100 when I one and when who that appears a beside that fps at once ~60, and at a plenty of people fps falls up to 30. In smoke fps goes to 30.
Please help someone.

yeah 256mb of 133mhz ram wont cut it nowadays, even if it is an old game. Upgrade to 512, or at least some better 256. Smoke always tends to drop framerate significantly in cs 1.6 for me so I wouldnt worry about it.

 

go into the CS console and type "fps_max 500" maybe its "max_fps 500" its one of those two.. If that doesn't work, its probably time for an upgrade.

 

Its "fps_max 500" and that wouldn't help.
And Viper, what happens nowadays doesn't effect old games. If he is getting 100 fps at times that says a little something about his current setup.
Try changing it to 16-bit instead of 32-bit. And 30fps is good anyways.

 

so, 16bit doesnt help me and why fps_max 500, why not 300 or 100 or 101 or 999.... ??? why 500?
So some changes come when i set fps_modem 100 or 400... i dont know how be better...
