    Hi all,
I have the following setup :-

    Asus P4C800-E deluxe
    Intel Pentium 4 540, 3200 MHz (16 x 200)
    DirectX 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c)
System Memory 1024 MB (DDR SDRAM)
    BiOS Type AMI (06/20/05)
    RADEON X850 (256 MB)
    Corsair CMX512-3200XL 512 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (2.0-2-2-5 @ 200 MHz) X2
WD ATA 37Gb 10,000rpm hard driveas main
SG barracuda 200Gb as "save drive"
    Tagan 530w PSU
NTL 3Mb BB modem internet (ethernet)
Nothing is overclocked and HT is enabled.
ALL drivers and SP's are up to date
    3dMark score of 3181

    Problem is :-

I enjoy online gaming (SOF2 still the main obsession) and on my previous setup, being AMd 2.8, radeon 9600, 1 Gb OkUK value memory abit nf7s mobo, i could play SOF2 and attain 150FPS as a stable setting.
Now, with the above setup i am lucky if i can achieve 35 FPS, even on baron locations.I have tried altering the graphics card settings to "minimum" and the ingame settings to " noi bells and whistles" but still cant get much over the 35 FPS. the servers i use ALL alow unlimited FPS with other clan members regularly getting 200 FPS+.
Any one got any suggestions or reasons as to why i am suffering this way?

    Many thanks

You might also check compatibility review with your video card and the rest of the system...

And for the record...that is an impressive setup you've got.

Have tried every driver i can find for the card (even the origional) must admit, had several problems installing them but evenyually each was installed, always the same results though.

have asked around, checked various forums etc for compatability, no problems known, this was also a "compatable bundle (mobo, graphics, processor etc" sold by the retailer

managed to get 75 FPS last night, woooopeee :p but at the cost of running 800X600 , no graphical quality and using 16 mode :( so the game was almost unplayable.

Glad u like the setup, i enjoy online gaming and dont mind spending the money to have a decent enoght system to enjoy it.....trouble is...this system doesnt do the job

Any idea who the card manufacturer is? ATI liscensed out their chipset to several companies, so it might be a problem specific to that manufacturer.

keep in mind that you can have a kick ass video card but if you dont have the system to handle it, heh...you will still get a crappy FPS. I had a Geforce FX 5900, 512 DDR 2700, but...I only had a 1.3 Athalon, so I would only get 20fps on World of Warcraft....

I've got almost the same setup just have kingston cl3 value ram(dont Laugh:) )and a 7800gt without overclocking anything i pulled 6935 in 3dmark05
even my 6600gt on this setup was pulling 3600 +/- 50
try to reinstall dx 9.0c AND video driver afterwards also make sure net framework 1.1 is installed on your pc also newer drivers require it (or they did)
