Low Id on p2p programs & port settings....

    I'm trying to make use of my cable internet connection and some of the p2p programs(Kazaa,Winmx and the like),and I seem to be hitting some "potholes".When I start a download of a particular file I want,it could take up to 3 days to complete..It's seems that I may be getting "Low Id's".One of the programs made a reference during setup about my port settings not being correct...Anyone have any experience with this or insight?..I'm using a gigafast EE400R cable router.
