low profile vid. card upgrade

Currently have a Dell dimension 4600 with an Intel integrated graphics driver. This worked well enough for basic gaming 2-3 years ago but now need to upgrade in order to play "Call of Duty 2" and others. Really just for casual gaming, nothing more exotic. I do have an idle AGP slot. I have twice ordered the necessary "low profile" card and twice have received standard (and hence non conforming) sized cards. Is my terminology all wrong? The slot height for the card should be around 3-1/4", NOT the roughly 4-3/4" height which I have received. There are many cards listed on newegg as "AGP low profile" but none seem to fit. Is theer no compatible upgrade available? Just buy a new computer? HELP!!!! Thanks in advance.
