Do these cards fit into regular, i.e. non-low profile, computers the same as regular cards, without any adapters or extra parts to make the fit?

It depends on what you mean by low-profile. There are some PCI cards that are labeled as 'low-profile' (some video cards come to mind) that just use a small PCB that fits into a regular size PCI slot. Then there are some cards that are a different form factor than the regular PCI cards.

If you could give us more detailed information about the cards in question, we can give better advice.

In my experience with low profile video cards, the only part that's different is the bracket. The low profile bracket is (obviously) about an inch shorter than a standard bracket. Usually, both brackets are included in the box so the card can be used in any PC by simply changing out the bracket. It's easy; two small screws hold the bracket to the PCB, no biggie....
