lsasrv dll not valid windows image

after reinstalling winxp. 2x and downloading sp3 which went ok..then installed 70 critical upgrades..the download worked great..rebooted and got this error message. lsasrv dll not valid windows image. This is on laptop. hardive was totally formatted by xp..there is something in Microsofts upgrade that is causing this error..looked everywhere online to solve..went to ms and they had nothing..You can't even advise them that they have a problem. did not want to start over but did..will turn off upgrades until solution is found..thanks for any help..its been long long day with this machine..

 

It sounds like that DLL was corrupted, somehow. I don't think that was caused by Windows Updates.

Possibly the System File Checker ( sfc /scannow ) would have fixed the error.
