The Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005) click ok to terminate.

After the windows logo screen comes up I receive this error message. I can't get it to boot from a CD, flash drive, Windows XP disk and safe mode doesn't help me.

Please help...my son's need this computer for their online schooling !

    Thanks in advance!

Moved to software forum. You will need to be able to boot to a stable state before we can do any malware removal. ;)

I can F2, F8 and F12. I have the CD drive booting first, but the error message comes up before I can do anything. Suggestions?

Yes it is a Dell. I'm surfing for answers as we chat. I just built a pebuilder3110a.exe disk. Will that help at all?

    Can you answer the following:

Do you get the lsass.exe application error WHILE you are in Windows? (The place with all your desktop icons are and where you can launch programs from).

    -OR-

Do you get "0xc0000005" Blue screen of death when you're attempting to boot into Windows?

There's a difference, I'd like to know to better help you =)

It comes up right after the window xp logo where you would log in.

I know that UBCD4 Windows (which is based on pebuilder3110a) has a program called Regedit (Remote) that lets you edit the registry offline. I am not sure about pebuilder3110a.

You might want to take a look at this thread. Post #6

    Horton1, please don't hijack Sunny524's thread.
You need to post your problem in a new thread. It gets too confusing trying to help solve two people's problems in one thread so the Major prefers everyone has his/her own thread.
