Could try the W2K driver from LSI, but as your using a very old card it may not be supported at all, from HERE

What Windows version was on that PC previously? if it was Vista then try the Vista driver but any lower OS then likely it will not work, you could bug it with MSFT but likelhood it would be tagged "external" and would go to LSI who will not adapt a new driver, more wanting you to buy new hardware.

If the Vista OS drive and its driver works ok then try that driver as most Vista drivers work in Windows 7, and you are using the RC version (build 7100) and not the old beta (build 700) are you?

If not then contact LSI support and ask if they have a Win7 driver for your model of card.

Didnt know you had two threads on this and best to stick to one as mixed and missing information on whats been posted can cause confusion, so did the driver attached in this thread http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=189824 help as you said thank you?


If not what if any error messages do you get?
Where does Win7 get in the install, basically what part of the install and did you in the install procedure choose to LOAD DRIVER?
