This is installed on my computer, I have tried to uninstall it, but when I try it tells me that it is running and I need to close it tried to close it and when I do it fails.

I cannot get it deleted. Sometime ago I have a similar problem and someone told me a site I could download and it would remove the problem.

    Would appreciate any help

I was under the impression the OP was trying to uninstall the program, not just remove it's files.

I cleared it off a friend's computer last night. I opened the task manager, closed ltibiti.exe and immediately uninstalled KNCTR from add/remove programs.

Yeah, you're right. I don't know what I was thinking. Allow me to try again. It would be nice to know which software product we're dealing with and whether it starts automatically when Windows boots. I'm going to assume that Java has already tried rebooting the system but found the program running when Windows got up and running. Java, here's a link to a program that will allow you not only to see all of the programs that load automatically when Windows starts but also allows you to stop them from running. It's called AutoRuns and it's freeware from Microsoft:

If the program you are trying to uninstall is on the list of program that start automatically when Windows boots, uncheck the checkbox next to the program name and then reboot your system. You should then be able to uninstall the program because you stopped it from loading. If, on the other hand you find that the program in question is NOT in AutoRuns' list of autorun apps, then you may have something more nefarious going on, like malware. If that's the case then I suggest you go to the following page and start the process of malware removal:

Please post a reply in this thread that includes relevant info about your system and your problem. What OS are you running, what's the name of the program that won't uninstall, what specific things have you tried and what were the results, what programs start automatically when Windows boots, etc. Reading the forum's FAQ will give you a precise listing of information that should be included when posting a help request. Here's the link to the FAQ: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/faq.php
