What kind of picture card does your camera use?

My suggestion (I have three digital cameras and after suffering from problems with software on my first camera, I use my own suggestion): remove all the camera software. You are better off without it. Buy a card reader that you put your camera card into and connect to the USB port of your computer. The computer will see the camera card as an external hard drive. You can open the folder and copy the pictures to your computer. (Before I start editing my pictures, I ALWAYS burn them to a data CD. That way if the camera card dies or I wreck a picture while I'm trying to edit it, I have the original burned to a CD).
Then I open a free software program, like Irfan http://www.irfanview.com/
    and edit the pictures.

If you like a lot more editing features, look at a paid program Like Photoshop.

Tell me the type card and I will post a link to an external card reader so you know what to shop for.

Hi, Plodr, I've just pulled out the only card that I know I have . It is the memory card from camera. An ATP 256MB, also says look CS> On back has numbers: AF 256SD,
    ASDo4o27
    1931M2S
    ED433C0
No idea if that is what you mean @ stop groaning(grin). I understand what you are telling and my son did try but when I insert card into my printer it didn't seem to be able to read it. Heck, I am so thankful for your help. Lucy
