M$ Office Pro 2003 ?

System - XP Pro SP2, installed M$ Office Pro 2003, custom install, did NOT install Outlook, uninstalled M$ Office Pro 2000 prior to install and ran cleanup utilities -

Have one minor problem, with Office 2000, when I opened my "start" menu, at the top of the menu there were two entries ( Open Office Documents ) and ( Open New Office Documents ) these are NO longer there, is there anyway I can get the ( Open Office Documents ) back into the Start menu ???

Honestly, the easiest way I can tell you is download the attached ZIP file to your desktop. Extract the contents and copy them to the below directory.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu

bjgarrick, the shortcuts installed fine, but won't work :-( , get this error message when I click on them - Problem with Shortcut - This action is only valid for products that are currently installed - as I said in the original post, all but "Outlook" is installed and everything seems to be working fine - also been "activated" with M$ - I'll take any other suggestions, Thanks for trying

Try to 'Pin to Start Menu' for the two. They should be in All Programs at the top.

 

Weird, I tested this before posting, not sure what happened.

If nothing works for you, try this simple solution.

1. Open the Help menu in any Office application

2. Select Detect and Repair

3. Make sure the Restore my shortcuts while repairing option is selected

4. Click Start to begin
