M2N32-SLI Deluxe

Hi everyone. I just put together a new system, but its not working. I press the power button and absolutely nothing happens. No nosie, the fans are not spinning, nothing. The onboard LED is green, meaning that the power is getting to the motherboard, but that doesn't help much. I tried taking out one stick of memory, then i disconnected everything from the motherboard except the graphics card, one stick of memory and ofcourse CPU. Its still dead as dead can be. I tried calling ASUS and they told me to manully start it by touching a screwdriver to the two power pins on the board itself, but still nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know that i should take out the power supply and test it on another system, but it is just too late now. I'll have to do that tommorrow morning.

Could be a problem with the cpu. Check to see it is connected & seated OK.

No bent pins?

 

Here is a little update. It is definitely not the PSU. I took it out and connected it to a different system and it started up normaly. I guess that leaves only the possibility of a faulty motherboard. However, as Hipster Doofus said, i will make sure that the CPU is seated properly. If it is ok, then this will be the second time in as many years that i am receiving an ASUS board thats DOA.
