    Hi,
I have a 4 yrs. old Mac Book Pro 13 with Retina Display running on High Sierra Latest version. Last night it was installing new updates and needed to restart to finish installation. When I looked at it this morning first I saw the grey screen with the 'prohibition" sign , then I tried to reboot using "command+R", "option+command+R" to try to use the "disc utility" and "reinstall the Mac OS X" but no luck. I can't reboot. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best regards,

    Mike.

Hi...just a heads up. We are primarily a Windows forum. There are some Mac users on here, so hopefully one will come along that knows something about them.

I did find this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8087797 Based on the number of "I have this question too", it's not an uncommon issue.
