Using Excel on proven program with macros. Problems with a persistant chart event notice

    Microsoft Visual Basic
    Run-time error '13'
    Type mismatch
this causes the program to create a grey chart with horizontal black lines.
Task manager cancel excel.exe returns to user.
Program has run correctly before. ActiveX or macro virus?

    Welcome Jon. :)

Well that sort of error can occur for far less nasty reasons than macro virii. ;)

If you run the debug on the prgram it should show you what line the prgram is falling over on. Have a look at the cell and make sure that you haven't got a character where a number is expected that sort of thing.
