Macromedia flash player

I have a pc that I buildt a while back. It worked fine for several months then all of a sudden the macromedia flash player will not work on either ie or firefox. Ive downloaded and installed it several times (although now that I think about it i havent uninstalled the reinstalled). Is there a setting that I might be overlooking somewhere. I just can't really think of what it could be.

Uninstall the Flash player
Now download and run CCleaner
Now reinstall

 

Maybe make sure its uninstalled all the way first (delete the files directly from the HD if needed instead of going threw the regular windows uninstall way, but try the later first) , delete all temporary files and cookies in i.e., then reinstall it once correctly, then check the internet explorer options , i forget where but theres a place to click what ie plugins you want enabled or disabled, like java, shockwave, ect.. make sure its enabled in there

 

The adobe uninstall worked like a charm. Thanks Nick. To tell the truth I didnt think of uninstalling it until I wrote the post (hand hits forehead). Sometimes I guess you just have to slow down and think. duh
