Mafia, buggy or what?

I wonder if Mafia is buggy game. After some missions, when loading new mission, it said file not found and contiune to mission, then I see no buildings. All buildings and roads disappeared. So how do I find file to put in right folder. I dont uns why it does that. I wonder if it has to do with raid0? Does this game do better on one harddrive? I wonder if anyone have similar problem. Or is it something that we need to drill game programmer's head to see this problem? If it part of game, then I would need to send it back.

 

get the latest patch, I've never had any problems of that kind with Mafia... very weird...

 

Yep, I got lastest patch. At first, I didnt realize there was a patch. The game crash or freeze, files corrupted. I unistalled game and reinstalled. Download patch, it helps mostly. Then after playing for awhile, when loading a new mission, error pop up said missing file, I cant remember the file type but it for building, 3D display of structures in game such as lightpole, garbage bin, buildings, newspaper post, stuff like that which all disappeared. So I loaded the game again, same thing. I reboot and restart the game, somehow that problem disappeared. The game doesnt showed any error since I reboot and reload the previous mission. I have feeling it might happen again cuz it happen 2 or 3 times before. I was wondering if RAID0 is issue cuz of senstive datas this game might have confusing between 2 harddrive and does not read requirement files completely. Or my harddrives have spotty "blindspot" on lasereye lens that need to be wiped. I am going to install Mafia on one harddrive later after new adjustments on my system with some new hardwares. Hope that would make a difference.
