mai.mail host

    my problem is kinda simular BUT I cannot retrieve my email at all in msn.
    how do I fix and what causes this? I go into msn and click the email icon and I get "dowload mail.mailhost" I'm running vista home premium 64 bit:confused

    What email software are you using to get to your MSN mail, also can you login online to MSN mail and get your email?

    What I would initially try is to clear your temps and cookies and use this free software, CCLeaner and its Cleaner tool (leave the settings as default) then try MSN again.

    another trick that could work is to re-register the MSN dll, with no IE or Browser windows open click Start and type in the Start Search box CMD, then when it shows right click it and choose Run as Administrator then paste or type this line in regsvr32 c:\progra~1\msn\msncorefiles\mailui.dll (do note the space after 2 and before c as its are crucial) and hit enter, then try again.
