Mailbox.

Hi..
I am using XP pro with Outlook Express.
I have a number of email addresses but one specific address is used only as my primary logon address...
This has never been used to accept mail...I am now getting 5/6 emails every day with the usual cr*p and it's very annoying..
I want to avoid this so I can't delete this address for obvious reasons. is there anyway of shutting it down to emails and avoid this rubbish..
I have been told that you can reduce the particular mailbox to size zero and nothing will go in...I cannot find out how to do this..
Any help would be appreciated.
I am not a Major geek however I am a MAJORGEEK have been for quite a while...So as simple as poss please

Open Outlook Express, click on tools, go to message rules, click on blocked senders list. Add their email address to the blocked senders list.

 

You could create a rule for that acct. to delete it, but I would first test the rule and make sure it does not catch mail for your other accts.

(I would create a "Temp Test" folder prior)

Tools - Message rules - Mail

1. Where the message size is more than size (1KB)
2. Move it to specified folder ("Temp Test")
3. Enter values in blue highlighted fields ie "Temp Test" and "1KB"

If rule works for a few days, change step 2. to: Delete it.

Sry I deleted all my other accts in OE, so can't test for you. Not sure if "0" will work, so I would try 1KB, should catch it all.
