I'm looking for a good mailing utility, outlook express doesn't really satisfy me...I'm just looking for opinion here, does anybody have any specific one that they favour?

    Mail Apps.

Eudora and Pegasus mail are still top 'o the heap for non MS mail programs. Both have lots of neat features that MS doesn't offer.
The big advantage to using another mailing application is that most trojans, viruses etc. are written to exploit securtiy holes in good old Outlook Express.

By default, you turn off macro proccessing by default (WTF are these people thinking?) and stuff like that making it more secure, but I think mutt is god! Use mutt :)

I use Incredimail. I've tried others, but that is the best that I've found for Hotmail ( I only use a hotmail addy). It will delete the messages off the server also.

I read Vlad902's response and saw the word "mutt." Kept on thinking what he was referring to. Bugged me so much that I entered "mutt" into Google. Found that Mutt is an email client. Interesting, very interesting. I use the Eudora v5.2 (paid). Eudora, as mentioned previously, is highly configurable. Learning curve, if you're anal-retentive, prolonged. Importing not THAT simple, GUI totally different. All in all Eudora is a fine email client. Now that I know what "mutt" is, I may just swing out that leash and grab a Mutt.. :)

    Cheers!

P.S. this repsonse was to end up "Mailing utility" thread. Sorry

I've been using IncrediMail for the past year. What ad/spyware? I also use Adaware6 and Spybot peridodically.

I like IM because if I choose, I can use stationery although AOL people can not seem to receive my emails. I refuse to use IE. I used Netscape for many, many years and really liked it but got tired of the conflicts with M$ and tried IM.

It isn't perfect either but it is free.

Ok, I downloaded Foxmail b/c I'm currently using OE, and was going to try something else. However, I can't figure out how to make a signature. I went through the help file, but I guess I didn't understand it. Can someone help me out?

You can edit the templete, which has basically the same effect as a signature. Get the Property dialog from the mailbox you want to change the templete, Go down to templetes, then hit browse for html or text message. Once there hit default on the list on the right, and you can edit what shows up on the message by default.
