I check the site news almost every day and often download stuff to see if it is any good...... some I keep and the rest .... well it goes in the bit bucket
I found a great video by Tim on Jet Clean and now I use this instead of CC Cleaner

 

Speaking for myself if it is not available for download on Major Geeks or recommended by someone from MG then I probably don't need it anyway.

 

I don't tend to frequent it, but it's where I start every time I need anything. Haven't had to go anywhere else yet.

 

Like Tibbs, I look when I need something and always start at MG.
Windows is just not good enough at cleaning itself up to install programs just because I might like them.

 

Advanced System Care, the free version, but that was a long time ago. I bought the full version recently though.

I just read Tim's post with comprehension.
First thing I ever downloaded from here and that I still use is Avast antivirus. It's on all my computers, and the mobile version has been on all my phones. That would have been shortly after I joined here, which was...2002? I think? I'll have to look.

 

Oh, the very first one. Probably an antivirus of some kind, though I can't for the life of me remember which one. Might have been AVG, might have been Avira, might have been Avast... whom I keep returning to, over and over. And yes, it's on my phone.
