maintenance in progress

    Win 8

    Action center flag reports maintenance is in progress yet I have nothing scheduled or running to my knowledge.
    I have rebooted but that only moved the flag for action center into "customize" out of sight.
    Please advise

    Goldenskull I can't follow the rules

    While maintenance is running, you can go to the newly enhanced Task Manager to take a peak at what processors your machine is currently consuming most of the CPU or memory. This usually leads to a good indication at what the automatic maintenance is doing.

    Thank you, Goldenskull, I did do that in my investigation before coming here. Nothing stood out. I found an article that said to leave settings as they are and if you use Win 8 long enough you will see this. Apparently, it is doing no harm?
