Major driver problem

Hi, is it possible to install graphics drivers from DOS menu. The reason I ask is that my graphics card seems to have hiccups now and again. I uninstall drivers from settings then reboot in safe mode and use Driver cleaner pro, reinstall latest drivers and away I go. However this time when I started in safe mode I could not see the screen, it had horizontal lines up and down the screen, that changed colors when I moved the mouse. I was able to use driver cleaner and reinstall drivers. When I restarted the computer I still had the same problem. I was wondering if 1. I didn’t use driver cleaner properly as I couldn’t really see what I was doing, or 2. has my graphics card had it’s last day.

I tried to reformat but ran into same problem, couldn’t see screen due to lines that change colour as you move mouse around screen. So as it stands I have a computer that you cant work with as you cant see anything on it due to the mess of lines and colors.

It’s not the monitor as I have changed monitors, also removed and reseated graphics card.

I just had the same thing happen to me, same graphics card as you have. Ended up, my card was bad. replaced it and everything was ok. My computer took a hit from some nasty lightning, and it took out my graphics card and mother board. My graphics card acted just like you are saying, then went to little dots, even put it in another machine, no go. So I don't think it's your driver, think you card bit the dust.
