It's not the site, it's your browser.

    I use Internet Explorer 9.
Open Internet options, under Browsing history, click Delete.
Then click Advanced, click Reset..., and then click Restore advanced settings.
Restart IE whenever prompted during these procedures.

Are you on Vista or Windows 7? Vista supports up to IE 9 and W7 up to IE 11. If you are on 7, you can upgrade through Windows updates or download from here:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/Internet-Explorer-11-for-Windows-7-details.aspx

If you are running Vista, you may want to check automatic updates to see if there are any for IE 9 in the list...

I know on XP, IE 8 is beginning to be blackballed by MS sites as no longer supported. Outlook.com doesn't even allow access to e-mail in IE 8. I don't think it's a compatibility issue, though...more like MS' "its time to pay now" routine o_O:eek:. IE 9 will be supported through April 11, 2017, the same date support ends for Vista.

OK, you will require SP1 to upgrade to IE 11, but it will come automatically through automatic updates as an optional update (if I remember correctly). SP1 is worth the add on if you have drive space. IE 11, not so sure (I don't even open it (Firefox)...all ports blocked in the firewall), but it will be supported through sometime in 2020 (forget the date). Might solve your problem. Here is the link to get started with SP1 if you would like to go that way:

If you use Windows 7 without SP1, you'll be stuck with IE9. Some sites have stopped suporting IE9.

FYI I suggest you use CCleaner to clear IE's temp files, cookies (you can decide wich to keep), history, cache, etc.

You can just add another browser, Chrome, Firefox, Maxthon, Opera,,, and use it on the sites that IE seems to be having trouble with.

    This is good advice.
On MajorGeeks.com, I can no longer see Disqus comments because Disqus has stopped supporting IE9. It's really not an issue to use Mozilla Firefox for just 1 or 2 sites.

BTW For me, MajorGeeks Forums work fine in IE9.

I have this happen with several browsers. Always figured in my case it's because of wireless bandwidth or connectivity issues. I just reload the page. But I am confused - one responder with IE9 tells the OP to use one besides IE9?

MS will not patch IE 9 on Windows 7 starting in January 2016. This was announced 11 months ago.
    One source: https://www.gartner.com/doc/2993017/microsoft-plans-end-support-windows
so you will be using a very insecure browser.

Also the fact that you have not installed SP1 on Windows 7, means you have gotten no security updates/patches since April 9, 2013!

If you want to browse, use a linux live CD/DVD/USB stick and save your computer from being a target for malware.
