Major Geeks Toolbar Question

    I installed the Major Geeks toolbar in order to use the email notification. I can't seem to get it to work. I think I see the problem. My email address is ------.bellsouth.net. I think this is not a supported domain.

    Have I got this analyzed correct? If so, is there a way around this problem?

    Hi

    Your ISPs email should be fine, you'll need to click in the settings POP3 then enter the relevent details to your account.

    Settings are below, but main one is incoming server, which I have added the Bellsouth one for you but the user data you will have to enter, but you can find this if you use Outlook Express by clicking Tools > Accounts > click your account and properties then in Servers tab should be your Incoming server details of user name to use.



    this is just a guide mind and the mail.bellsouth.net is correct incoming server to enter in that box

    reading Bellsouths info on accounts then your account name will be everything to the left of the @ symbol in your email address, password well hope you have remembered that.

    Thanks for the response Halo. I have everything setup exactly as you suggest. Still does not work. When I click on 'Test E-mail Account', I get a failure on 'Log into mail server' and 'Failed testing mail account'. I even cleared out and reentered everything in case I had made an error.

    Put in your user name without the @xxxxxxx.xxx
