Major Help Required

Hi
Dont know much about PC,s so bear with me.

I just went to boot up mymachine (I am on my laptop just now) but it wont boot up. Just as the windows screen comes up and it sounds like its going to boot itgoes to a black screen that says...

"we apoligize for the inconvience but windows did not start succesfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this"

I have the option to boot in safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, last good known configuration and start windows normally.

I have tried each of these and all that happens is it reboots and goes back to the same black page with "we apoligize etc etc etc"...its just a continuos loop.

Someone please help me :-(

Have you installed any new Hardware?

Ya might try access Bios, then dont change anything, just save & exit & try to boot normaly.

While in Bios ya might do quick check make sure your known hardware like HDD/CD or DVD drive & memory is visable to BIOS.

 

Tried saving and exit and rebooting normally but just goes back into a loop. Where in the bios can I see if the hdd etc is visible?
