Hello I have a 2013 Gateway Acer PC with Windows 8 on it. A while back I had an issue where an update corrupted my registry when I accidentally powered off during the update. I did a reset and everything seemed fine. Now when I just tried to switch from Wi-Fi to Ethernet (my wi-fi does not have enough bandwidth) it says "Invalid Ip Configuration". After doing almost every driver reset and ip config trick in the book someone told me to run sfc /scannow. It said that there were multiple corrupt files that it could not fix. So I bought the recovery disks from gateway to completely reinstall my OS and after completing that my problem, and my corrupt files, persisted. Please help I have no idea what is going on and I have never seen anyone with a similar situation.

*P.S. I probably will not be able to download or upload anything from that computer because it cannot connect.
