    L.S.

Ever since I have installed Windows XP service pack 2, Word (Office 2000) just stops after a few seconds when I try to run this. It's bizar because first I had office 2000 and it was fine. Then i got this message. Rebooting does not work. Re-installing did not work. Installing a Office 2003 did not work! It still terminates after a few seconds even when I do nothing.

And then there is this new problem with 'run32dll' when I shut down.

    Can someone help me??

While you are waiting for an XP expert to reply (I use W98SE), it might help if you can advise us exactly what the message is. Also more info on the "run32dll" problem would probably help as well. What is the exact file name? Is it run32.dll? or some thing starting with run32 and ending in dll suffix? Baz

C'mon you XP experts out there, help DarkBlue. Baz

OK thanx guys, I will try to explain the Word message.

    It's like a standard XP/Microsoft/IE message:

Microsoft Office Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The information you were working on on might be lost. Microsoft Office Word can try to recover it for you.

    blabla

you might know this message. Each time I open Word this appears. I'm going crazy I'm considering to re-install XP. That should help right?

And the rundll32 problem seems to be solved. Do you know the program Startup faster 2004? When I have it installed everything seems to be fine.

If the error message is still displayed and you want to see the data that the error report contains, click the click here link at the bottom of the message box. Error signature information appears that may be similar to the following:
