Major Problem,,,

    Hi if there is anyone that can help me i would be very happy,,,I have lost my password (user). I have been told the easiest way to fix it is delete windows vista and start over..i do have everything i need to re install but i cant log on to my computer to delete anything. What can i do?

    There are quite a few programs out there for "finding" your password. You can do a forum search for "lost logon password" and go from there.

    Or install your hard drive into another computer as slave,delete the partition,reformat,then reinstall into your own machine.
    Fresh start with a clean drive to work with.

    Are you talking about a BIOS password or a Windows password?

    You should not need a password to install Vista unless the BIOS requires a password to change the boot order.
