I am a new user. I went to the CP and selected Edit Options. In the section on Thread Display, I wanted to learn more about threads I clicked the link to "this help page". But, it gave me an error "Invalid FAQ item. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator". I clicked the link to Administrator so I could report this problem which took me to the "About us" page. I can't see anything on that page for reporting MG problems so I decided to open a thread in the Software forum.

Hello, NipomoDan:wave You can edit the thread display from the top of the page you are in. Just click Display Mode, and you can display the thread the way you want to see it, either first post or last post first.. What exactly were you looking for in the CP?:confused

If you are looking to edit PM's, that isn't enabled until you post 50 or more posts...

Hi TeeCee. I wanted to learn about the different thread display modes. The text says, "Here you can choose the display mode for threads. For a full explanation of the modes, please view this help page. Linear - Oldest First Linear - Newest First Threaded Hybrid Thread Display Mode:" So, I followed the link to "this help page" which says the FAQ item is invalid.

Hi NipomoDan, That may be a residual from the 'issues' the site had this morning. :-o If you want to change the view
Just look to the top of the page, to the right, and you will see the button DISPLAY MODES, it is a drop down list, just click one, and if you don't like that view, then go to the next..

You should be able to do it from CP >edit options> Linear Mode is newest first displaying, meaning the newest post is what you will see in each thread.

The next two I just leave on default.. But like I said, you can change the view anytime. But, if you do change anything in the CP> edit options, be sure to go to the bottom of the page and click SAVE CHANGES, or else your changes will not be saved.. Hope this helps you ;)

Thanks TeeCee - I'll set the mode to linear in CP and save the changes.
