majorgeeks prolbems for me

hi, somedays when i try to go to sites to download things, i cant get there. For example i click on mail ulities, and then find the one i want like spamfighter, so i click on spamfighter and it says opening page forever, and never takes me to the page, so i tru another day, and then finnaly i get it. Is it something with my pc or is it that the site is busy? or is it something that i am doing wrong. thanks for the help and time.

 

i use internet explorer, i press refresh and it still does the same thing, i asked my mother in law and the same thing happens to her somtimes, and i was trying to download something for my grandfather on his pc and the same thing happened at his house. I cant think of a different site that i have ever had that prolbem with. I dont have a different browser, so im not sure if its just IE or not. Thanks for the help, need any more info, please let me know.

 

yes, we all have dial up, and we have windsream for our isp, my mother in law had another isp before windstream and had the prolbem too, it dosn't happen everytime i go to the download site, just more often then not. i tried one other downloading site and it did it too, but only once. It seems like i only have the prolbem on major geeks site, which sucks, cause i love ur site. so thanks again for the help.

 

I think everyone runs into that problem, I hardly believe that it only happens here. I think it is more of a signal thingy, I dont know not my department, just wanted to say it not just you, and its not just here. for me , usually refreshing does the trick..on a bad day with heavy traffic, sometimes i'll just restart my browser and hope for the best.
Do you have a choice on the dial up, or does your area not serve broadband? My last house didnt have broadband and dialup almost made me crazy.
Possibly your dial up is the issue?

 

also I wanted to say, that dial up cost me more than than high speed at the time....go figure!
