make my page google friendly

I want my web page to be found when googleing a particular phrase. How can i accomplish this?

 

On googles website there is a link for website submital. Mine did not register too fast, until I added google advertising...I get a ton of hits off google now. Tho my website is crap right now, I get over 100 hits from searches a month on google.

 

As Wookie said, just submit the site to google. Include meta tags on your main page as well to speed things up and then wait. It usually takes google anywheres from 1 day to 1 month to actually get your site nicely indexed once it's submitted.

 

Firstly make sure that the phrase is included in the meta tags for your keywords.

2nd try and include the phrase on your Title tag. Title tags are hugely important with search engines.

3rdly.... ensure that your page includes the phrase a few times, but dont over do it. Only include it in your html... search engines dont read flash, grraphics etc etc

4th create some backlinks to your site using this phrase in your links, thus increasing the relevence of the words to the site.

lastly... find out where u are currently with a search for your phrase.... this may take a while... thenget your mates to google the phrase u want, and not click on any of the results except yours. Give it a couple of weeks and it should go uo the ratings, unless ur phrase is something really common lol

For a decent meta tag analyser have a shufti at HERE and dont forget to validate your html. Google can be a pain for listing, then removing sites that fail validation.
