    Hey fella's,

I need to make my isp invisible (I have my reasons, and it's not for porn!LOL). I am unsure which method is the best. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

You want to use a proxy server. I'm sure someone here has a list of free proxy server or you can google for a list. Then just load the proxy info into your browsers connection configuration and off you go.

    Need more info?

Is there a place to learn more about the use of proxy servers and what about programs like 'Invisible Browsing' by Amplusnet for anonymous browsing?
Would just like to learn more about anonymous browsing and/or spoofing an ip address b4 trying it.

As Kodo stated, using a proxy easily and reliably hides your real IP. Google will yield many to choose from along with many sites available where you can verify what IP is being revealed to those that would have access to that information. There are also many anonymous email servers available where you can send an email without your IP or ISP showing as the the originating source..anyone could look at the headers or message source of the email and nothing about you or your location would be revealed.

These services in general log your information but their TOS clearly states that this information will not be made available upon request unless you are doing something illegal...hacking, making threats against someones life...major stuff like that where there would/could be police or government involvement. So, if you are using the service just to be more or less anonymous while browsing or emailing and not breaking the law you can easily do so.

I should have stated "Anonymous Proxy Server" instead of just proxy server.

Just curious I guess... normally the reason I end up screwing up my PC.
But the promo for IB 3.0 ( http://www.amplusnet.com/ ) probably best states the reason for my curiosity...

'Invisible Browsing' will mask or hide or spoof your IP address preventing the banner ad campaigns and e-commerce applications from logging your internet address without your permission. Invisible Browsing is also an efficient Internet Explorer Privacy Protection, Popup Blocking and Internet Sharing Solution."

Sounds like a lot of work to do what it says, but just wondered if it may be considered worth the trouble.
