Malewarebytes becoming pay only

This will probably get pushed into the maleware forum.
But I thought I put here anyway as it regarding software.

The other day whilst i sorting out My maleware on My computer and installing all the anti spyware until I came to the Malewarebytes web page where it said download trial
I thought it was free or has things changed now.
Anyway I down loaded it and got my maleware sorted out
just thought I let you know

 

I believe the full version has real time protection whereas the "trial" is just the scanner and removal, without the real time protection.

 

That maybe so but its misleading
To my knowledge a trial is given a date until it stops working like counter spy ---- 15 days
and b the AVs with there 30 days before you either uninistal it or pay for it for a year
