My wife has Lenovo laptop, Win7, and has a issue with Malware bytes.
I have tried to uninstall it with no success. I have tried to install the repair tool kit from Malware Bytes and it acts like it is installing but will not show up in any file or start.
So how can I get rid of this paid program so I can reinstall it.

I have some knowledge on computers, but I am currently going through cancer treatment so my mind is getting very foggy at times. Please forgive how long it takes me to respond while going through this problem.
Thanks for any help that you may have for me.

With 2 of our Windows 7 computers, it would not update from v 4 to v5. I got an error. I had to download and install MS Visual C++ 2015. After I installed that, version 5 installed.

Before I installed it, I got a shortcut to MBAM on the desktop but nothing happened when clicked. v4 was gone and v5 was no where to be found. If that seems to be what is happening, download the above program, install it then try to click the MBAM desktop shortcut.

If the above doesn't solve the problem, I suggest you post in the Malwarebytes forum. They have always helped me resolve my problems.

Thank you for the information and I will try it as soon as I am able to do so.
Since I am unable to even pull up Malware Bytes on the laptop I don't know which version it is.
Will I be able to reinstall a new version over the old version?

3 of our computers installed v 5 over v 4. v5 was downloaded in the background when it checked for updates. One successfully installed. The other two did not but after I downloaded and installed MS Visual C++ 2015, and clicked on the shortcut icon on the desktop, v 5 installed. I never attempted to remove v 4. I simply installed v 5 on the two computers that shot up an error message.
