Malware clean-up removed afd.sys file

After running a MalWareBytes scan and clean-up on a Dell desktop running Windows 7 Home Premium, the machine can no longer access the Internet. Specifically, the DHCP service won't start, apparently because the (infected) afd.sys file was deleted, possibly along with its associated registry entries.

Any way to restore this file and registry entries?

Download the afd.zip file I have attached to this message.
Extract afd.reg to your desktop.
Then double-click afd.reg and allow it to merge into the registry.
Let me know if you received a successful message or not before proceeding.

Then please download MGtools and save it to your root folder. Run the C:\MGTools.exe and attach the C:\MGLogs.zip.

Thanks for the response, and I apologize for my delay in following up. I was away from the house and machine.

I successfully ran the registry update but MGTools did not zip the logs. I can attach the 2 logfiles themselves, but it seems that your magic has already restored my internet connection.
