    Dear MajorGeeks Forum,

    Malware- Dprhb11- 2018-11-15
The Hard Disk with Windows XP was replaced.

I have run READ & RUN ME FIRST- Malware Removal Guide to make sure there are no Malware. The relevant logs are attached.

No issues felt. READ & RUN ME FIRST was performed as a precautionary measure as the Hard Disk and the Operating Systems were re-installed.

I see this is the office computer and your the admin?
Do other users have access to this device with permissions to install applications on it?
To help decrease PUP and PUM detections, you may want to implement or revise these permissions at your endpoints.

As the HD and OS are new, you should not have an issue with 'old Malware' unless you believe its migrating across your network from another node.
You do have a very good reason for exposing a tired old XP operating system to the internet don't you?
You should have, especially from a new HD on what seems to be an office network???......

This effectively makes you a 'sitting duck' :(

Once this computer is put to use, the 'Guest' Account will be activated for the use of other personnel and a password will be included to the 'Admin' Account.

Internet connection will not be provided to this machine and it will not be connected other computers.

This computer was previously used only to print laboratory reports until the hard disk went out of order. The printouts were taken from a photocopy machine which can be installed in XP operating system and could not be installed in Windows 7 Operating System.

There were no problems to begin with.
